the notes
how $evolve works
a dog that evolves every 5 minutes. holders write what happens to him next and vote, and the ai draws the winner onto him. here is all of it, plainly.
what this is
i drew a dog and im letting the internet decide what happens to him.
every 5 minutes theres a vote. holders write what happens to him next and holders vote. the idea with the most votes becomes real: the ai draws it onto him, it goes up here and on x, and the next vote is already open.
he started as a plain doodle with no name, so the first vote named him. after that hes all yours. he could get a job, a sword, a girlfriend, a war, a mortgage, or turn into something that isnt a dog at all. nobody knows where he ends up, including me.
every chapter stays on the site, so you can always scroll back to the first doodle and see how he got there. or read the whole story in order, like a short book.
the rules
- every 5 minutes theres a new vote
- holders write what happens to him next. one idea each. writing is free and doesnt pay anything
- holders vote. one wallet, one vote. nobody sees the count until the vote closes
- the idea with the most votes wins. the ai draws it onto him and it goes on x
- whatever wins sticks until another vote changes it. he can turn into anything
- everyone who voted for the winner splits the voters half of the fees. bigger bag, bigger cut, up to a limit
- you need to still be holding when the vote closes or your vote doesnt count
- if nobody votes he waits. if the ai wont draw the winner, the next one wins
- the very first vote names him
how a round works
one round is 5 minutes
- a vote opens and runs for 5 minutes. the countdown on the front page is the real one, taken from the database clock.
- while its open, holders write ideas and vote. the page shows how many holders voted so far, never which idea is ahead.
- when the time is up the vote closes. nothing gets in late, not even by a second.
- the idea with the most votes wins. if two are tied, the one backed by bigger bags wins, and after that the one written first.
- the ai draws the winner onto him. that takes a minute or two, and the next vote is already open while it draws.
- the new chapter lands on the front page and goes on x.
if nobody votes, he waits: nothing gets drawn, and the ideas carry over to the next vote, as long as whoever wrote them still holds.
writing ideas
to write or vote you need to be holding when the vote opens. if you got some after it opened, you can join from the next one.
one idea per wallet per vote. writing is free and doesnt pay anything, its just how the story moves.
an idea is 3 to 80 characters about what happens to him next. dark, weird and dumb ideas are fine: “he goes to war”, “he turns into a demon”, “he becomes a cloud”. thats the whole point.
a few things never go in: links, @names, emails, phone numbers, home addresses, wallet addresses, tickers, slurs and sexual stuff.
if someone already wrote your idea, or nearly the same thing, the site points you at theirs so you can vote for it instead. up to 50 ideas per vote, after that you pick one of the ones already there.
the naming round
the very first vote names him. names are 2 to 20 letters, spaces are ok, nothing else. whatever wins becomes his name everywhere. a later idea can still rename him.
voting
one wallet, one vote. you can vote for your own idea. a vote is final.
nobody sees the count until the vote closes, not even me. while its open you only see how many holders voted.
voting is signing a short text message with your wallet. it says which round and which idea, and it ends with “this signs no transaction and moves no money”, because it doesnt.
you need to still be holding when the vote closes. if you sold before then, your vote doesnt count.
bigger bags dont get more votes. every wallet counts once. bag size only breaks ties and sets your share of the voters pot.
how the drawing works
every chapter is an edit of the one before it. the ai gets the current picture and the last few ideas, nothing else, so whatever he picked up along the way stays: what he wears, where he is, who he became.
whatever wins sticks until another vote changes it. he can turn into anything, even stop being a dog.
the drawing style doesnt change. every chapter is drawn crude on purpose, like ms paint with a mouse: flat colors, wobbly black lines. he evolves, the style stays.
if the ai wont draw the winner, the idea in second place wins instead, then third. if none of them can be drawn, he waits that round.
drawings get checked before they go up. the ai draws it, nobody touches it up.
each chapter also gets one line of story, written right after the drawing, so the chapters read as one story that builds. you can read it from the start.
getting paid coming soon
everyone who voted for the winning idea splits the voters half of the coins fees. bigger bag, bigger cut, up to a limit, so spreading a bag over lots of wallets doesnt get you more.
you need to still be holding when the vote closes, same as for the vote itself.
this part isnt switched on yet. when it is, the wallet box on the front page shows what youre owed and what youve been paid, with a link to every payment.
fairness
every vote is a signed message. once a vote closes, its round page shows every idea, who wrote it, every vote, the wallet, the signature and the exact text that was signed, so anyone can check the count.
while a vote is open nobody can see the count, and the site never tells anyone which idea a wallet picked.
team wallets cant write or vote. there is no override: i cant pick a winner, skip a round or redraw a chapter.
the only thing i can do is take down an idea that breaks the rules before its vote closes. that shows up on the round page with the reason.

faq
does it cost anything to write or vote?
no. you sign a text message, there is no transaction and no fee.

phantom, solflare, backpack and most solana wallets. on a phone, open the site inside your wallet app, theres a button for it in the connect box.

is there an end?
no. he keeps evolving for as long as people keep voting.

the holders. i drew the first doodle, thats it.
